Donna Mae Waldron (Lintz)

Donna Mae Waldron, daughter of William and Margaret (Hart) Waldron, was born 27 March 1946 Medicine Hat, Alberta Province, Canada.  She graduated in 1964 from Okemos High School.  Donna married Philip Deane Lintz, 6 March 1965, Ingham County, Michigan.

Miss Donna Mae Waldron, 1527 Jerome St., and Philip Deane Lintz, 3614 Pleasant Grove Road, exchanged wedding vows Saturday afternoon at Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. George Porter, 2233 Park Drive, Holt.  Mr. Lintz's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lintz, 622 N. Fairview Ave.

The new Mrs. Lintz was gowned in silk and Chantilly lace for her wedding.  Details of the dress included a basque bodice, pearl-trimmed sleeves, a full skirt and a lace-edged watteau train.

Miss Gloria Jean Waldron served her sister as maid of honor in a sheath dress of pink organza with a watteau panel.  She carried white carnations on a Bible.

Identically gowned attendants, but in blue, were Miss Linda Boehme and Miss Doris Hewitt.

Edward Wedley was best man and ushers included Arnold Haiser of Chicago, Ill.; Al Taylor of Potterville, Richard Wedley and Carl Laing.

After a church hall reception, the newlyweds departed for an eastern honeymoon.  Upon their return they will reside at 3614 Pleasant Grove Road.

Donna and Philip celebrated 3 children and 54 years of marriage before her death 5 August 2017, Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan.

Donna Lintz (nee Waldron) passed away peacefully at the Eaton Community Palliative Care Center in Charlotte, Michigan. Donna was born on March 27, 1946, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada to William and Margaret (nee Hart) Waldron. Donna spent her youth in Canada before her parents settled in the Lansing area when she was 10. She attended schools in Holt and Okemos, graduating from Okemos High School. After finishing high school, she met and married Philip Lintz, the love of her life, and together they had three wonderful children who they raised in Mason. Donna worked as a bank teller at Michigan National Bank and at Lansing Area Federal Credit Union. She was also a realtor with Moore Jensen Realty. Donna attended Calvary United Methodist Church where she taught in their Sunday School and sung in the choir. In her later years, Donna enjoyed taking cruises with her mother and her sisters. She also loved going out to lunch and shopping with her core group of friends. She treasured spending time with her family and visiting with her loved ones from out of state, especially her oldest daughter, Mylene and Curt. One of Donna's last trips was to Shelby Township to watch her beloved granddaughters dance in their recital this past May. The theme of this year's dance recital was 'Dancing Through Life'. The girls will dance for you from now on mom. Donna's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the workers and caregivers of the Eaton Community Palliative Care Center in Charlotte for the compassionate care that they extended to Donna and her family. You will forever be in our prayers. Donna is the beloved wife of 52 years of Philip. Loving mother of Mylene (Curtis Reed) Lintz, and Alissa (Michael) Wasik. Proud grandmother of Maison and Braden Lintz and Alaina and Lauren Wasik. Beloved daughter of Margaret Maison. Beloved wife of 52 years of Philip.  Loving mother of Mylene (Curtis Reed) Lintz, Dean Lintz, and Alissa (Michael) Wasik.  Proud grandmother of Maison and Braden Lintz and Alaina and Lauren Wasik.  Beloved daughter of Margaret Maison.  Dear sister of Gloria (Joe) Johnson, Blain (Joy) Waldron, Brock (Lucy) Porter, Jeanette (Ted) Frissora and Galt Porter.

Funeral service Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Estes-Leadley Funeral Home 2121 Cedar St., Holt, MI.  Visitation Tuesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Arrangements entrusted to the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc.
