It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of the passing of Rudolph Stanford Hornus. Rudy passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 after learning he had cancer in January of this year. Vernita (Gates) Daily, with Hospice help, has been caring for him in her home since that time. There will be a memorial service for Rudy on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the St. Louis First United Methodist Church 116 S. Franklin St, St Louis Mi, 48880. Visitation at the church will be from 12pm-1pm with a service at 1pm.

Rudolph "Rudy" S. Hornus class of 1966, 69, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones on March 29, 2017.

Born December 2, 1947, to Edward and Catherine Hornus, Rudy graduated from Okemos as well as MSU, and spent a career with the Army National Guard before retiring a LTC in 2001.

Although proceeded in death by his parents and his brother John, His memory endures though sons Chris (Megan), Scott (Jessica), grandchildren Harper, Robert, and Evelyn, Sister Sally (Jerry) Church, loving friend Vernita, faithful dog Eddison, and all who knew him.

Memorial service to be held at St. Louis First United Methodist Church at 1pm on 4/17, visitation from 12pm-1pm.

Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to St. Louis Historical Society or to Hospice.

Laurel Winkel (1968)

Rudy was always such a nice person, very friendly to everyone.  Memories of him at Pep Club Meetings,  making posters. Rest well, Rudy.
