Warren Alvin Dolsen (1966-1967 Principal)

Warren Alvin Dolsen, son of Charles William and Susan (Lake) Dolsen, was born 26 April 1926 in Michigan. Warren was a Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He married Doris Mae Jordan 22 August 1953 in Allegan County, Michigan. Warren had a lengthy career in the education field.

DOLSEN SIGNS AS PRINCIPAL AT OKEMOS
Yale -- Warren Dolsen, principal of Yale High School the last two years, has signed a contract to be principal at Okemos, Mich. High School.
Mr. Dolsen presently is attending summer school at University of Michigan, continuing work toward his special in education degree. He and his family will move to Okemos, near Lansing, in the near future.

Okemos High School, accredited by the North Central Association of secondary Schools and the University of Michigan, has 700 high school students enrolled.

Included in the schools he taught, was assistant principal, principal or superintendent at: LaSalle High School, West Bloomfield High School, Armada Area Schools, Yale Public Schools, Okemos High School, Deerfield Public Schools. He obtained his PhD. at University of Michigan and ended his career as Superintendent of Springport Public Schools. Warren and Doris had 3 children. In retirement Warren was very involved in volunteer work and in his Presbyterian church. He died 28 February 2013 about a month after his wife passed away. Doris, born 29 October 1927, died 29 January 2013. Warren and Doris were interred Woodland Cemetery, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan.
