Laura Lynn "Lynn" Ashley, daughter of Paul E. (1914-1976) and Marie (Martin) (1921-1969) Ashley, was born 11 January 1949 in Michigan.  She attended Okemos High School with the Class of '67. Lynn died of brain cancer 14 July 2009 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Lynn's surname at death was "Hayes-Maceroni." 

Lynn's parents were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan.

Lynn passed away at her home on July 14, 2009, at age 60, after a courageous 8 year battle with brain cancer.  Lynn was a hair stylist for many years; she enjoyed good music and being out in the sun.  But, most of all, she cherished her granddaughter, Rachel "Rachie" Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marie Ashley (Martin); sister, Chris McClean; brother, Paul Ashley; and nephew, William Ashley.  Let to keep her spirit alive are granddaughter, Rachel Hays; 2 brothers, Jeff (Trish Ellison) Ashley, Franklyn Ashley; and her brother-in-law, Bob McClean.

The family extends a very special Thanks to Angela Maceroni for the wonderful care and support for my beautiful wife during her final months.

Family and friend will meet to celebrate Lynn's life at the Coral Gables Restaurant in East Lansing on Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the banquet room.
