Doris Lorraine Shields, daughter of Forrest L. (1898-1977) and Mildred E. (VanCamp) (1898-1924) Shields, was born 7 February 1919 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated from Okemos High School in 1937 and wed, 12 October 1937, Leon Charles Wickersham in Lansing. 

Leon, born 1916 Webster Groves, St. Louis County, Missouri, was the son of Albert and Daisy Mae (Christman) Wickersham.  Leon was a graduate of Michigan State College and at one time director of the Commodores, a northern Michigan resort band.  Leon died 22 February 1961 Oakland County, Michigan.

Doris remarried a man named Myers.  She died 9 November 2004.
