Arnold Milton Cain - Class Of 1944

Arnold Milton Cain, son of Milton (1906-1969) and Estella "Stella" (Menerey) (1908-1929), was born 27 January 1926 Iron Mountain, Dickson County, Michigan.  Arnold's birth mother succumbed to tuberculosis when he was only 3.  Stella was interred Bay View Cemetery, Chippewa County, Michigan.

Arnold graduated in 1944 from Okemos High School.  He served in the US Navy, 1944-1946, during World War II.  He married Ruth Harriet Schultz in 1945 but the marriage quickly ended in divorce.  Arnold then wed Betty Bennett 31 December 1948 Lansing, Ingham County. 

Arnold died 14 September 2002 Lansing.  He was interred  Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Eaton County, Michigan.

CAIN, ARNOLD

LANSING

Born January 24, 1926, in Iron Mountain; died September 14, 2002, at the age of 76.  Mr. Cain retired from Motor Wheel Corporation after 35 years of service.  He was an avid golfer at Highland Hills Golf Course and attended Immanuel Baptist Church, Lansing.  Surviving are Betty, his wife of 53 years; 1 daughter, Sue (Donald) Maxey of Dearborn;  son, John Milton Cain of Lansing; 4 grandchildren, John Milton and Ron Cain and Chad and Corey Maxey; 5 great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Skyler, Damien and Emma Maxey and Patricia Cain; his mother, Gladys Fesler of Florida; his mother-in-law, Grace Bennett of Eaton Rapids; and 1 sister, Joan (George) Stewart of Rochester Hills.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, at 10 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.  Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
