Kathleen Blanche McKane, daughter of James (1895-1974) and Irene (Purchis) (1898-1978) McKane, was born 19 December 1925 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. She graduated in 1944 from Okemos High School. Kathleen lost a brother, James Robert "Bob" McKane, during World War II. Bob was a 1940 graduate of Okemos.

The bride was Miss Kathleen McKane before her marriage July 26 to Gerald Klinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Klinger of Chicago. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McKane of Okemos. The newlyweds who were married by Rev. N. A. McCune in Peoples church, are making their home at 2734 West Grand River avenue, East Lansing.

East Lansing, MI. - Gerald C. Klinger, 82, East Lansing, Mich formerly of Ocala, FL., died March 9, 2010; born May 14, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Philomena (Reinhofer) Klinger. Mr. Klinger was a graduate of Michigan State University and worked for Oldsmobile as an engineer. He retired to Ocala, Florida where he spent many enjoyable years playing golf at On Top of the World. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; his children, David (Laura) of Macomb, Jamie Spellicy of East Lansing and Greg (Alissa) of Cheboygan; grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Parker, Rachel (Ed) Cunningham, Shannon Klinger, Gabe, Max and Abby Klinger; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zach, Hannah, James, Emilie, Grace and Jack. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI, with the Rev. Thomas E. Pederson officiating.

Lansing, MI to James and Irene (Purchis) McKane. Kay retired from the State of Michigan and enjoyed her retirement in Ocala, Florida, playing golf, ceramics and volunteering through her church, Joy Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in March 2010.
Surviving are her children, David Klinger (Laura) of Macomb, Jamie Spellicy of East Lansing, Greg Klinger (Alissa) of Cheboygan; grandchildren Kristen Parker (Chris), Rachel Cunningham (Ed), Shannon Klinger, Gabe, Max, and Abby Klinger; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Hannah, Emilie and Jack Cunningham, and Zachary, James and Grace Parker.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 17, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6301 W. St. Joseph, Lansing, MI, with the Rev. Thomas E. Pederson officiating.
