PEGGY SUE GREER

LANSING

"Go rest high on the mountain, girl your work on earth is done."

Peggy Sue Greer, age 72, died June 9, 2013.  She was born November 18, 1940 in Greenfield, TN to Clifford and Helen (Hollandsworth) Greer.  Peggy graduated from Okemos High School (1959) and retired from General Motors (Olds) in 1997 after 30 years of service.  She was a member of UAW 652, Holmes Road Church of Christ, and an avid MSU sports fan "Go Green Go Spartans".  Her greatest gift was giving to others and helping anyone that needed it, especially the elderly.  She volunteered for several organizations and donated to them as well.  She was a pal and companion to her beloved dogs, "Sparty" (2013) and "Missy" (2009).

She was preceded in death by her parents (1977); fiancé Dale Melton (1982); sisters Shelby (1998) and Barbara (2002); and brother James (2013).

Surviving are daughters Kimberly and Kelly; son, Christopher; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Harold and sister-in-law Myrna; many extended family and dear friends.  A special thank you to niece Nancy Hahn and dear friend Jeanne Angeivine for their loving care during Peggy's illness.

Services have been held with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI.
