Mary Madzia

Mary R. Madzia, daughter of George (1907-1977) and Josephine (Lachendro) (1909-2007) Madzia, was born 2 March 1941 Middletown, Ohio.  Middletown is located in both Warren and Butler County, Ohio.  Mary graduated in 1959 from Okemos High School.  She married James Brookland (1941-2011) but divorced in 1973.  Mary thereafter used her maiden name.   Mary died 20 May 2006 Ingham County, Michigan.

MARY R. MADZIA

HOLT, MI

Polish princess, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the age of 65.  Born on March 2, 1941 in Middletown, OH to George and Josephine (Lachendro) Madzia.  She was a 1959 graduate of Okemos High School and went on to receive her Associates Degree from Lansing Community College.  Mary worked as an Ombudsman for 6 years for the State of Michigan.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Mary loved her treasures, music, Bear and Punky.  She is survived by:  her mother, Josephine Madzia; 4 children, Terry (Brandi) Brookland, Todd Brookland, Ted Brookland, Tim Brookland; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica, Vaughn, Zoey, Sean, Tad; sister, Joyce Lundberg and several other extended family members and close friends.  Preceding her in death were her father, George Madzia; brother, Ted Madzia and granddaughter, Alicia Brookland (1989-1993).  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2006 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
