Ann Marie Stuckenburg (Kowalk) - Class Of 1961

Ann Marie Stuckenberg, daughter of Fred (1920-2000) and Sadie E. (1918-1996) Stuckenberg, was born 29 February 1944 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Ann's mother was named "Miss Lansing Aviation" in 1940 at the dedication of the then New Lansing Airport.

Ann graduated in 1961 from Okemos High School.  She married Arthur Kowalk and the couple had 3 children.  Ann died 17 January 1994 Ingham County.  She was interred Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing.

LANSING

Age 49, passed away on January 17, 1994.  She was born in Lansing on February 29, 1944, and lived and worked in the local area all her life.  Mrs. Kowalk was employed as a Secretary for the State of Michigan, Department of Natural Resources; and also worked part-time as an emergency room admitting clerk at Sparrow Hospital.  Along with her husband, she was a newsletter editor for the Capitol City Old Car Club; and Literature Chairperson for the Lansing Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; uncles; in-laws; friends, Penny and Janis; and her beloved pet, Bubs.  Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Arthur; 3 children, Sandra, Robert and Richard; grandchild, Sarah; parents, many friends; and Jake.  Religious services will be conducted by Rev. Fr. David M. Stotenbur of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 29, in the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
