Richard Alan Heiser

AUGUST 22, 1950 – DECEMBER 30, 2023

Richard Alan Heiser, age 73, of Williamston, Michigan passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Richard was born in Toledo, Ohio to Emmett and Lucretia Heiser, and was the youngest of two children.

He graduated high school from Okemos High School in 1968 and went on to obtain a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University. After college, Richard went on to work with DuPont Pharmaceuticals for 32 years before retiring.

After retirement, he spent his time golfing, gardening, taking care of his beautiful zinnias, and solving daily puzzles. If he wasn't spending his time outside, you could find him at home on his computer.

Being an avid MSU fan was something that Richard could trace back to his childhood. When he was younger, the memory of running through the tunnel with his father was something that he always cherished, and still attended MSU football games as a season ticket holder.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Deborah, nieces Leslie Jo (David) Hurwitz, Bethany (Alan) Daniel, great nephews Brooks, Bennett, and Beau, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Lucretia and sister Janis Bomers.

Richard will be laid to rest with his family at East Lawn Memory Gardens with a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Rich's memory to the Capital Area Humane Society.
