Stephanie Paula Kistler

Stephanie Paula, daughter of Dr. Mark Oliver (1918-1995) and JoAnn (Rohde) Kistler, was born 2 September 1950 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated from Okemos High School in 1969 and pursued a career in Library Science.  Stephanie died 4 December 1994 in Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan.  She was interred Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater.

Stephanie P. Kistler, 44, of Coldwater, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at home

She was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Lansing to Mark and JoAnne Kistler.

She graduated from Okemos High School and received a bachelor's degree in English from Alma College and a master's degree in library science from Western Michigan University.

She was employed by the Michigan Department of Corrections, working at Southern Michigan Prison at Jackson before moving in 1988 to Coldwater, where she was employed as a librarian at the Florence Crane Correctional Facility.

She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Coldwater, and Right to Life and was treasurer for the local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous.

She enjoyed reading, writing and gardening.

Surviving are her parents, Mark and JoAnne Kistler of East Lansing, and a brother, Mathew Kistler, of Stanford, Conn.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Kistler, and a sister, Laura Kistler.
