Bruce Edward Koenig, son of Dr. Herman Edward (1924-2010) and Ruth J. Koenig, was born 22 May 1951 in Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois.  He graduated in 1969 from Okemos High School.  Bruce died unexpectedly 24 December 2006 in Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.  He and his father were interred Spring Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum, Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois.

BRUCE E. KOENIG

WILLIAMSTON, MI

Age 55, unexpectedly passed away on December 24, 2006.  Bruce was born in Champaign, IL on My 22, 1951.  He is survived by his parents, Herman and Janet Koenig of Okemos, MI, his brother, Roger Koenig of Boulder, CO, and his brother Steven Koenig of Falls Church, VA, and their families.  A 1969 graduate of Okemos High School, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978 from Michigan State University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State in 1992.  Bruce Koenig was a onetime partner in Applegate Insulation Systems of Webberville, MI, and had farmed for some years in the Williamston area.  Being a longtime member of the Ecological Society of America, he was active in agricultural and ecological research.  He enjoyed gardening, international travel and had many friends.
