Steve Miller - Class Of 1972 VIEW PROFILE

Steve Miller

Steven P. Miller, of Mountain Top, PA, died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 25, 2007.

Born March 19, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was a son of Robert Miller (Snellville, GA) and Nina Gannon Miller (Okemos, MI). A graduate of Okemos High School, Class of 1972, he was currently employed at Mesko Glass, Stroudsburg, PA. Steve was a talented carpenter and builder, and was especially known for his careful and exceptional work, his character and honesty, leadership on the job, and the respect he earned from his crew. He could build and/or fix anything!

Steve was a man who lived a full and robust life. Okemos classmates love to tell the stories of adventures that included Steve. When he met and married his wife of 30 years, the former Geraldine Gearinger, his love of life continued as he moved from bachelor status to being the stepfather of Michael Martinez, Crystal, and Tony. Steve and Gerrie soon had Jodie, and Steve also adopted and raised his granddaughter, Amber. He was an exceptional, loving father, and a great role model for his family.

In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife Gerrie, children Michael Martinez of Ashley, PA; Chrystal and her husband, Carlos Andasol of Ashley, PA; Anthony and his wife, Lori Miller of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Jodie and Brian Adamczyk of Mountain Top, PA; and Amber Miller of Mountain Top. Grandchildren include Nicole Martinez, Jesse Sanchez, Brianna Miller, Christian Andasol, Steven Miller, Justus Miller, Michael Adamczyk, and Jarelle Miller. Brother Robert and wife Josselyn Miller, and sister Kathleen Miller Kissman, all of Okemos; sister Robin Hutson of Sugar Hill, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews also will miss Steve.

Funeral services for Steve were held in Wilkes Barre, PA.
