Janet Lynn Wood class of 1972 age 64, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Monday September 10, 2018. Janet was born April 8, 1954 in Albion, Michigan to Robert and Margie (Slusser) Reynolds. She grew up in Okemos, Michigan and was a 1972 graduate of Okemos High School.

Janet spent over 15 years as a para-professional in the Williamston Community School District, and was employed by Younkers. In addition to her passion for helping others, Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, dining out, watching Turner Classic Movies, and Michigan State athletics. Janet's world revolved around her children and grandchildren supporting them in everything they did.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Scott William Wood class of 1972 whom she married on March 26, 1988. She is survived by her children, Megan Dickinson and Kelly (Peter) VanZandt, as well as her grandchildren, Patrick and Lauren VanZandt. She is also survived by her siblings, Steve Reynolds, Jeanne (Joe) Kain, and sister-in-law Barb (Rich) Harris as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends of Janet will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home Lansing Chapel at 900 E. Michigan Avenue. A funeral service is to follow on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Lansing Chapel, with continued visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, 2600 E Mt. Hope Avenue Lansing, MI 48910.
