Richard Leroy Dorn, son of Albert Jacob (1917-2004) and Virginia J. (Risch) (1923-1988), was born 1 September 1943 in Michigan.  He graduated from Okemos High School in 1962.  Richard, on 10 August 1966, joined the US Navy.  He was honorably discharged from service 28 April 1970.  Richard married Janet Fox 22 August 1987.  He died 21 February 2009 and was interred Summit Cemetery, Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.

RICHARD LEROY "DICK" DORN

WILLIAMSTON

Age 65, died February 21, 2009; born September 1, 1943.  Dick was highly involved with the Williamston Lions Club.  He was a Navy veteran.  Dick was a retired technician from the Xerox Corporation.  He enjoyed fishing and golf and was an avid MSU sports fan.  Dick was a helpful and giving man who was fair to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Dick is survived b his wife, Janet; daughters, Wendy Cutler, Tamela (Troy) Orweller, Ann (Don) Freels and Sarah (Dan) McQueen; son, Tony (Angie) Dorn and Scott Rutter; 13 grandchildren; brother, Robert Dorn; and three nieces.

Runeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2009, Noon, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle Street, Williamston, MI.  Interment will follow in Summit Cemetery.
