Comments about life and living

Okemos High School Class of 1962, wow! 50 years and counting on more fun-filled years.

Upon graduation, I went to nursing school. I worked at Highland Park General Hospital for two years and during the riots. I met Phil, my husband, in Detroit, married and moved to Saginaw. We will be married 45 years in October. We have three children, Jody and husband Jeff, Carrie and husband Tim, and Philip A.and wife Marcy, and because of them, we have seven beautiful grandchildren.
I am an operating room nurse. I worked for three years until Jody came along, then I retired and became a full-time mom and community volunteer. After twenty two years of raising children and volunteerism, I went back to the operating room. I am still there and love it.

Phil, Jody, Jeff, Tim and Philip are all practicing attorneys. Carrie, Marcy and I stayed away from that field. My younger brother, Tom, died in the Vietnam war. My parents are deceased, and Don, my older brother, lives between Key west and Phoenix. Karen ,his wife, died in November, so he spends much of his time in Arizona with his boys and their families. Eric, my younger brother and his family, live in New Hampshire and all are well. What a great and healthy life I have had. Many formative experiences and memories of great classmates are with me. Here's hoping that you have fulfilled your dreams and your lives are enriched from our experiences at Okemos High. God bless you all.
