I've been married 47.5 years to Ron Kelemen (another Okemos grad). We had two wonderful children, Todd (deceased) and Stephanie. I'm a grandmother of three: Aiden (9), Kyle (7) and Baylie (2) Krause. Stephanie is an instructor for Infant Swimming Resource and her husband, Bob, is a teaching golf professional in Michigan.

I retired from nursing and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit in 2003. Ron retired for the third time in 2006: (1) U.S. Secret Service, (2) St. John Health System and (3) Ford Motor Company. After retirement, we split our time in Michigan and Florida: typical snowbirds. In 2011, we rented our house in Florida full-time and moved permanently to our home on Douglas Lake in northern Michigan.

My hobbies include gardening, walking, zumba, snow shoeing, golf and Mah jongg. I'm currently merchandise manager for the Douglas Lake Association and keep myself busy buying and selling merchandise to sell to lake residents and visitors. I, also, have a small business wire wrapping and beading serverware and making jewelry. Life is good!
