Rex Maynard Brenner - Class Of 1942

Rex Maynard Brenner

Rex Maynard Brenner, son of Harry (1897-1986) and Murrel (Pollock) (1895-1958) Brenner, was born August 1923 Holt, Ingham County, Michigan.  He graduated from Okemos High School in 1942.

Rex Brenner of the Button district, graduate of the grade schools here and Okemos high school, always aimed at a career of acting.  His ambition has been realized in radio.  He has played in daily programs from a Chicago station for the past three years, and three times each week has taken the title role in the Moody Institute's drama broadcast on "Great Christians."

Rex wed Dorothay Alta "Hoddy" Hodson 30 September 1950 Cook County, Illinois.  "Hoddy" was born 7 April 1917 Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brenner and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mills and son John were in Chicago over the week-end to attend the wedding of Rex Brenner and Dorothy Hodson.  Rex is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brenner and a graduate of Okemos high school.

The young couple will be at home at 120 W. Locust st., Chicago, upon their return from a wedding trip.

Hoddy died 2 May 2001.  Rex died 24 November 2009 Harriman, Roane County, Tennessee.  Rex was interred Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood, Roane County, Tennessee.
