Frederick William "Fred" Hauser - Class Of 1941

Frederick William "Fred" Hauser, son of William F. (1886-1971) and Lena A. (Smith) (1894-1975) Hauser, was born 7 September 1922 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  He graduated in 1941 from Okemos High School and joined the US Army 25 February 1943.  Fred was honorably discharged from military service 20 December 1945.

Fred married Lila Fern Morrow in 1946.  He married Ruth Marie (Helms) Vining in 1960.  Fred retired from Oldsmobile.  He died 1 August 1988 Fulton, Gratiot County, Michigan.  Ruth, born 26 June 1922, died 4 July 1999.  Fred and Ruth were interred Fulton Center Cemetery, Perrinton, Gratiot County.

Age 65, died August 1, 1988.  He was born September 7, 1922 in Lansing to William Frederick and Lena A. (Smith) Hauser.  He was retired from Oldsmobile, a member of the Mark Daniels V.F.W. Post #1735 of Perrinton and a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Lansing.  He married Ruth Marie (Vining) on May 6, 1960 in Angola, IN, and she survives him.  Also surviving are children, Ronald W. Vining of Eaton Rapids, Judy A. Stead of Perrinton, Robert L. Vining of Marshall, Sandra Phelps of Dimondale, Frederick Hauser, Jr. of Farmland, IN; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 aunts, Geraldine Smith and Dorothy Smith, both of Lansing.  Funeral services will be Thursday, August 4, 1 p.m. at the Dodge Funeral Home, Middleton, with Rev. Dale Jaquette officiating.  Burial at the Fulton Center Cemetery.
