Violet C. Richey, daughter of Glen L. (1895-1979) and Ruth (Schleicher) (1900-1943), was born 18 September 1923 in Michigan.  Violet was honored with the D.A.R award when she graduated from Okemos High School in 1942.  Violet was employed by the State of Michigan Treasury Department for many years.  She never married and died 9 August 2016..  Violet's death notice was located in the Lansing State Journal (Lansing, Michigan) Sunday 9 October 2016.
