Deirdre Gay Scott (Robinson) - Class Of 1942

Deirdre Gay Scott, daughter of George MacFarlane (1890-1979) and Katharine Glenn (Norman) (1891-1972) Scott, was born 2 December 1924 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.  Deirdre, Student Council President 1940-1941, graduated from Okemos High School in 1942.  She married Hugh Samuel Robinson 27 December 1951 Cook County, Illinois.

EX-EAST LANSING GIRL WED DEC. 28

Mr. and Mrs. George MacFarlane Scott of Evanston, Ill., formerly of East Lansing, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Deirdre, to Hugh Samuel Robinson, son of Otto Louis Robinson of Winnetka, Ill.

The service was performed Dec. 28 in Northminister Presbyterian church in Evanston and a reception followed at the Evanston Women's club.

Miss Joy Scott was her sister's maid of honor and Mrs. Jacweir Breslin of East Lansing and Mrs. George D. Buzard of Evanston, both sisters of the bride, and Miss Jane Baudouine of Evanston were bridesmaids.

William H. Baudouine of Evanston acted as best man while ushers were Mr. Breslin, Mr. Buzard and Charles Peterson of Evanston.

Other Lansing guests were Mrs. Raymond Marshall and Mrs. Richard E. Parker.

Deirdre died 27 March 1994 in Illinois.  Hugh, born 24 February 1926, died 25 October 2011.

ROBINSON

Deirdre S. Robinson, 69, loving wife of Hugh S. Robinson; dear mother of Katharine (Thomas) Hill, Deirdre (James) Sullivan and William (Suzanne) Robinson; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Visitation Tuesday 4 to 9 p.m. at Keller & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, where a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.  Interment private.
