ALMA JANE CADE WEDS MR. HUBER IN MCCUNE CHAPEL CEREMONY

The sun was bright overhead when newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Harry Swartz Huber left on a northern Michigan wedding trip Tuesday following their morning marriage and reception.

For the ceremony in McCune chapel, People church, East Lansing, the bride, the former Miss Alma Jane Cade, daughter of Prof. and Mrs. C. M. Cade, 5290 Park Lake road, wore her mother's wedding dress.

The frock of silk with a marquisette square neckline was unusual in its simplicity.  The silk had been purchased by the pound from the silk center of China-Soochow by Mrs. Cade when touring the Orient before her marriage.  A crown of silk held the bride's finger length veil and she carried a cascading bouquet of gladioli.

Standing also with the bride before Rev. C. Brandt Tefft as she repeated her vows at 10 a.m. was the honor matron, Mrs. William Cade of Dubuque, Ia., her sister-in-law.  She wore a floor-length frock of aqua silk and carried a colonial bouquet.

Little Catherine Cade and Jo-Ann Huber were flower girls and are nieces of the bride and groom respectively.  Theo Marshall Cade was ring bearer for his aunt.

William Cade, brother of the bride, served as best man for Mr. Huber.  The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Harry Huber of Detroit and the late Mr. Huber.  Richard L. Cade of Dubuque, Ia., was usher at the marriage of his twin sister.

A prelude of nuptial music was played by Mrs. McKinley Ash of Miami, Fla.

Hostesses at the reception and buffet luncheon that followed in the farm home of the bride were Miss Norma Benjamin of Galesburg; Miss Doris Renz and Miss Betty Stolp of Los Angeles, Cal.; Miss Rachel Nagel, Miss Ruth Portman and Miss Margaret Hemans of Detroit.

The pair will make their home at the Sharon apartments in Detroit.
