Richard Earl Linn, son of Claud C. (1883-1953) and Kate "Katie" (Emmer) (1891-1993) Linn, was born 3 June 1922 Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan. Richard graduated in 1943 from Okemos High School. He married Mary Virginia Haynes and together they raised three daughters and one son. Mary, born 25 November 1923, died 22 November 2000. Richard died 21 December 2003. Richard and Mary were interred South Lyon Cemetry, South Lyon, Oakland County, Michigan.

WORKER INJURED AT MOORES PLANT
An Okemos construction worker was injured shortly before noon Friday on the Moores park power plant project.
Richard Linn, 34, of 2052 Okemos rd. suffered possible rib fractures when struck by a 16-foot long four-by-eight tumber while unloading a truck at the power plant.
He was taken to St. Lawrence hospital for observation and treatment.

LANSING, MI
Born June 3, 1922, in Okemos; died December 21, 2003, at the age of 81. Mr. Linn had served with the Boy Scouts for 60 years and had donated 17 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. He had enjoyed visiting the sick with St. Vincent DePaul since 1943 and had also ushered at M.S.U. football games beginning in 1943. Mr. Linn served at Mass for St. John Student Parish, St. Gerard Catholic Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1945 and was a 4th Degree Knight, Navigator and Grand Knight. Mr. Linn was preceded in death by his wife, Mary V. Haynes-Linn in November 2000. Surviving are his brother, LeRoy (Lila) Linn of Lansing; sisters, Cecelia (Casey) Zydron of Chicago, IL and Francis Linn of Haslett; and several step-children, ste-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 24, at noon at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, with Pastor John P. Klein officiating. Interment will be held in South Lyon Cemetery, South Lyon, MI.
