Fannie Edna Williams (Beaumont)

Fannie Edna Williams, daughter of Alfred W. (1875-1940) and Grace Ann (Weaver) (1879-1959) Williams, was born 15 September 1910 Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1928 from Okemos High School.  Fannie married Rex Elmer Beaumont 3 December 1932 Steuben County, Indiana.  Rex was a 1927 graduate of Okemos High.

SURPRISE SHOWER HELD FOR OKEMOS WOMAN

Okemos, Dec. 14 - A surprise shower, complimenting Mrs. Rex Beaumont, who, before her recent marriage, was Miss Fannie Williams, was held at the home of Mrs. James E. Madden, Saturday afternoon.  The invited guests, besides the women member of the school faculty were Mrs. W. H. Taylor, Mrs. J. E. Soper, Mrs. H. S. Lyon and Mrs. David Penner.  Dainty refreshments were served by the hostess and the guest of honor was the recipient of many pleasing gifts.

Rex, born 6 November 1909, Ingham County, Michigan, died 24 November 1979 Jackson County, Michigan.  Fannie died 20 July 2006, Allegan County, Michigan.  Rex and Fannie were interred Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, Ingham County.

FANNIE EDNA BEAUMONT

FENNVILLE, MI

Age 95, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Holland Community Hospital.  She was born September 15, 1910 in Ingham County, MI, the daughter of Alfred Williams and Grace Weaver.  She was a graduate of Okemos High School in 1928.  She married Rex E. Beaumont and he preceded her in death in November 1979.  She had lived in the Fennville area since 2000, coming from Leslie, MI.  Fannie was a homemaker and was a member of the Leslie First Baptist Church.  She is survived by 1 daughter, Rexanne M. Beaumont of Fennville, MI; 1 son, George and Delilah Beaumont of Niles, MI; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Frank Kapugia; and many nieces and nephews.  Including her husband, Fannie was predeceased by her daughter, Marlene Kapugia in 1984.  Funeral services will be Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Leslie First Baptist Church, Leslie, MI with Pastor Toby Teague officiating.  Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason, MI.
