Vera Grace Moldenhauer, daughter of Victor Carl (1888-1981) and Nina M. (Hough) (1891-1974) Moldenhauer, was born 16 February 1916 Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1935 from Okemos High School.  Vera married Edgar James Wolcott 21 June 1935 Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan.

Massed flowers and ferns lighted by tall white tapers, formed the lovely background for the marriage of Miss Vera. G. Moldenhauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Moldenhauer, to Edgar J. Wolcott, son of Roy Wolcott of Flint.  The wedding took place June 21 at 7:30 o'clock in the evening the Moldenhauer home at Okemos.

Preceding the ceremony, Miss Virginia Lewsader played a piano prelude and the Lohengrin Bridal Chorus as the bridal party took their places before the Rev. Glenn Frye who read the vows.

Mr. Moldenhauer gave his daughter in marriage and the maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Eunice Moldenhauer.  Mr. Wolcott was attended by his brother, Roy Wolcott, jr.

White taffeta was chosen by the bride for her wedding gown and the maid of honor wore pale pink.  Both carried roses and summer flowers.

Following the ceremony refreshments were served by Bethel Freeman, Elise Wood, Margaret Leu, Freda Bucher and Katherine Unruh.  Guests were present from Bay City, Saginaw, Owosso, Dowagiac, Flint, Lansing and Haslett.

Mr. and Mrs. Wolcott left on a trip to New York and on their return will live in Lansing.

Several delightful affairs have been given in the bride's honor.  Miss Virginia Lewsader entertained with a linen shower at her home in Okemos.  Mrs. Dorothy Carlton, Haslett, also entertained for her.

The bride is a recent graduate of Okemos high school.

Edgar, born 30 May 1912, was a Navy veteran, 1943-1945, of World War II.  Upon discharge he was ranked as a signalman third class.  Edgar died 27 October 1975 Saginaw County, Michigan.  Vera died 22 December 1987 Saginaw, Saginaw County.
