Ronald Burke Ron Sage (1953 Principal)

Ronald Burke Sage, son of George Reuben (1879-1968) and Blanche Orpha (Rueger) (1886-1952) Sage, was born 24 June 1923, Clare, Isabella County, Michigan.  He married Beth June Robison 31 March 1944, Mt. Pleasant, Isabella County.  Ron was a World War II Army veteran.  After honorable military discharge he enrolled in Central Michigan College (now Central Michigan University) and graduated in 1949 with a degree in education.  In 1951 Ron graduated from the University of Michigan with a master's degree.

Ron was principal of Okemos High School from May 1951 until his resignation in 1953 to move to Holt High School.  He left Holt after only one year as Principal and moved into employment as Regional Representative of the Michigan Society for Mental Health.  By 1964 he was Coordinator - Planning Division, Michigan Department of Mental Health.

Ron and Beth had 4 children.  He died 13 February 1986 in Gila County, Arizona.  Beth, born 26 October 1923, died 26 April 2009, Arizona.  Ron and Beth were interred Gilmore Township Cemetery, Isabella County.

RONALD B. SAGE

Globe - Ronald B. Sage, 62, a former administrator for Mountain Community Health Services, died Feb. 13, 1986, at his Globe residence.  Mr. Sage was born in Michigan and moved to Arizona in 1980.  Survivors include his wife, Beth; daughters, Linda Roth Ray, Cassandra Krueger and Jacqueline Sage Phillips; son, Ronald Jr., two sisters; and six grandchildren.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Globe.  Palmer Globe Mortuary made the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
