Frances M. Turau (Burkley) - Class Of 1924

Frances M. Turau, daughter of Otto Frederick (1871-1943) and Mary V. (Gibbins) (1884-1952) Turau, was born 2 May 1905 Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1924 from Okemos High School.  Frances married Kenneth Burkley 24 December 1926 Haslett, Ingham County.

Kenneth, born 17 August 1905, worked for many years as a maintenance man at the Bud Kouts Chevrolet dealership in the Lansing area.  Kenneth died 13 November 1986 Williamston, Ingham County.

Frances died 19 April 1989 Williamston.  Frances and Kenneth were interred Summit Cemetery, Williamston near the final resting place of their sons, Kenneth Jean "Jean" Burkley (1931-1980) and Lyle G. (1934-1951).

Age 83, died April 19, 1989 in Williamston.  She was born may 2, 1905 in Williamston where she was a life-long resident.  Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Burkley; granddaughter, Mrs. Paula Hull; and 2 great grandchildren, Kim and Steven Hull, all of Williamston; and sister, Irene Roosa of Okemos.  Memorial services will be held Friday, April 21, 2:30 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Williamston Chapel.
