June Elaine Keesler (Brown) - Class Of 1930

June Elaine Keesler, daughter of Arch Byron (1888-1953) and Fern Charlotte (Hammond) (1889-1981) Keesler, was born 28 August 1934, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  June's brother Starr graduated from Okemos in 1937 and later became an active Okemos community leader and Okemos School Board President.  June graduated in 1930 from Okemos High School.  She married Tom Myron Hudson, a 1930 OHS classmate, 31 December 1932, Okemos, Ingham County.  The marriage was short.  Tom at age 21, succumbed to scarlet fever and pneumonia 20 March 1933, Ingham County.  Tom, who was born 23 March 1912, was interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.

The Meridian school has been closed for the week due to the untimely death of the husband of the teacher, Mrs. Hudson.

June married Ralph Emmert Brown, 30 August 1934, Lansing.

HUDSON - BROWN WEDDNG HELD THRUSDAY

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Bintz, 1206 West Michigan avenue, was the scene of a pretty wedding Thursday evening when Ralph E. Brown and Mrs. June Hudson, both of Lansing, were united in marriage by the Rev. Victor F. Brown.

The home was decorated with a variety of garden flowers.  Robert Ross and Frances E. Robbins were the attendants.  In addition to Mr. and Mrs. Bintz and the attendants, Mr. and Mrs. F. N. Cowart were the only other guest present.

Mr. Brown is connect with Mr. Bintz in his Da-Swi-Di club project in Lansing and Doctor Brown is also associated with the club as its social director.

Ralph, born 18 April 1922, South Dakota, and died 7 March 1992, California.

June and Ralph had 3 children.  She died 13 March 1968, Ingham County and was interred Leek Cemetery, Okemos.

JUNE E. BROWN

Okemos - Mrs. June E. Brown, 55, of 3515 Dobie Road, died in a local hospital Friday.

A lifelong resident of Okemos, she was a member of the Okemos Community Church and was employed at the Ingham County Extended Care Facilities for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two daughter, Mrs. Sharon E. Raines of San Rafael, Calif. and Suzanne K. of Okemos; a son, Ralph R. of Royal Oak; her mother, Mrs. Fern Keesler of Okemos and a brother, Starr Keesler of Okemos.

Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel, East Lansing, with burial in the Leek Cemetery.
