Albert A. Dormer - Class Of 1925

Albert A. Dormer

Albert A. Dormer, son of George Albert (1880-1968) and Eva Adelia (Bristol) (1885-1966) Dormer, was born 12 August 1906 Dimondale, Eaton County, Michigan.  He graduated in 1925 from Okemos High School.

Albert married Myrtelle Moore 6 April 1928, Haslett, Ingham County.  The couple had 3 daughters and one son.  Unfortunately they lost infant daughter Janette Helen, 3 months of age, in 1932.

Albert was employed by and retired from Oldsmobile Forge Plant, Lansing, Ingham County.  He died 20 July 1992, Eaton Rapids, Eaton County.

Myrtelle, born 11 January 1910, Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan, died 14 July 1998, Eaton Rapids.  Albert and Myrtelle were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.

Born August 12, 1906 in Dimondale, died July 20, 1992 at the age of 85.  Having retired from Oldsmobile Forge Plant, Mr. Dormer was preceded in death by 1 son, Richard, and 2 daughters, Jean and Jeannett.  Surviving are 1 daughter, Sheila (William) Holland of Eaton Rapids; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leon and Earl Dormer; and 1 sister, Helen Perkin.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 1991, 3 p.m. in Glendale Cemetery.
