Gladys Andrews Gubbins, daughter of William Elwyn (1861-1938) and Ada (Young) (1877-1965) Gubbins, was born 14 June 1906, Michigan.  She graduated in 1923, the 1st class to graduate from Meridian Consolidated School No. 2, or Okemos High School.  Gladys was one of 2 students in her senior class.

Gladys married Reuben William Everett 24 October 1923, Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan.  Reuben was a farmer but during his employment career spent 12 years working as a janitor for Okemos Public Schools.  Reuben, born 11 January 1900, died 26 February 1960.

Gladys and Reuben raised 4 children.  They lost one infant, Jerry Lee, in 1936.  Gladys died more than 30 years after Reuben, 14 February 1997.  She was interred with Reuben and infant son Jerry Lee in Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.
