Eva Irene Morton (Rohrbacher) - Class Of 1945

Eva Irene Morton, daughter of George G. (1903-1989) and Mildred D. (Greenfield) (1905-1995) Morton, was born 7 November 1927, Ingham County, Michigan.  Eva graduated in 1945 from Okemos High School. 

Eva married Harold L. Rohrbacher 11 August 1945, Lansing, Ingham County.  The couple were married 52 years and had 2 daughters.  Harold was employed by General Motors for 38 years in the Experimental Engineering Department.  He was born 6 July 1926, Lansing, and died 12 January 1998.  Eva, a homemaker, died 3 July 2016, Ingham County.  Harold and Eva were interred East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos.

Eva Irene Morton Rohrbacher

Eva, devoted mother to Dawne (Bob) Wahby and Jennifer Seagren, took Jesus' hand and went home to heaven on July 3, 2016. Eva was a loving Grandma to Joshua and Mikaela Seagren and Joseph and Jeneva Wahby. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and happiness. Eva was the proud sister to Lyle (Carol Sue) Morton. Her brother held a very special place in her heart. She is also survived by numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

Eva was born in Lansing, MI to George and Mildred Morton.

Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Rohrbacher.

Eva liked to express her love and devotion to those she cared for through her delicious pies and also by serving at her church. Eva had a passion for gardening and loved working in her flowerbeds.

A funeral service was held on Monday, July 11th at First Baptist Church of Williamston with Rev. Bell officiating. Interment followed at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
