Frances Lois Hadley (Salmon) - Class Of 1928 VIEW PROFILE

Frances Lois Hadley (Salmon)

Frances Lois Hadley, daughter of Walter Smith (1873-1944) and Anna (Cox) (1879-1947) Hadley, was born 10 September 1909, Ingham County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1928 from Okemos High School.

On 30 May 1930, Meridian Township, Ingham County, Frances married Rolland Hugh Irvin (1907-1987).  The marriage ended in divorce.  Frances married James Irvin Salmon.  James, born 13 April 1914, Michigan, died 19 February 1961.  Frances died 31 March 2004, Ingham County.  Frances and James were interred Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.

Frances also lost an 18 year old son, Roland Hugh Irvin, 14 June 1950.  "Hugh" died of a heart attack while swimming with friends in a farm pond in the Mason, Ingham County area.  He was a June 1950 graduate of OHS.  Hugh was interred Glendale Cemetery.

SALMON, FRANCES LOIS (IRVIN)

OKEMOS, MI

Age 94, born September 10, 1909 in Delta Township to Walter and Anna (Cox) Hadley and died March 31 2004.  Frances worked on the farm and later at Okemos Public Schools.  She enjoyed bowling and her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James I. Salmon; son, Hugh Irvin; son-in-law, Leonard Morgan and two great grandchildren.  Surviving are: daughters, Joyce Petosky, Virginia "Ginny" Morgan, Brenda Griffin; son, James E. (Jeannie) Salmon; 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; also special friends Bob and Donna Shepherd.  Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at the Estes-Leadley Holt-Delhi Chapel, with the Rev. Wesley B. Emerson of Eden United Brethren In Christ, officiating. Special services by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mason VFW post #7309.  Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
