Donald Jack "Jack" Young - Class Of 1945 VIEW PROFILE

Donald Jack "Jack" Young, son of LeRoy (1905-1993) and Thelma Irene (Edwards) (1905-2000) Young, was born 30 November 1927, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.  He graduated in 1945 from Okemos High School.  Jack was a World War II veteran having served with the Army of Occupation in Japan.

Jack married June Ardith Shortz 20 August 1949 Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  June, born 7 September 1925, died 15 June 2000, Florida.  Jack died 16 November 1993, Florida.  There were no known children.

Age 65, died November 16, 1993 in Florida.  Born November 30, 1927 in South Bend, IN, Mr. Young was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army of Occupation in Japan.  He was formerly employed as a bricklayer with Young Masonry Construction Co., and later retired from Consumers Power Co.  Surviving are his wife, June; mother, Thelma Young of East Lansing; brother, Richard (Winifred) of Williamston; sister-in-law, Joyce (Cade) Sentell of Mississippi.  Memorial services will be held Monday, November 29, 4 p.m. at Gorsline-Runciman Co., East Chapel, East Lansing.
