Edward Donald "Donald" III Devereux - Class Of 1979

Edward Donald "Donald" Devereux III, son of Edward Donald II and Patricia Devereux, was born 13 May 1960, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.  His parents were later divorced.  Donald graduated in 1979 from Okemos High School and was attending Arizona State University when he was killed in a motorcycle accident 26 June 1983, Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona.  Donald was interred Summit Cemetery, Williamston, Ingham County, Michigan.

OKEMOS HIGH GRAD DIES IN CAR-CYLE CRASH

An Okemos High School graduate died this past weekend in Mesa, Ariz., after the motorcycle he was a passenger on crashed head-on into an oncoming car.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Department said Donald Devereux, 23, of Tempe, a student at Arizona State University, was a passenger on a motorcycle, driven by Allen Skinner, also of Tempe, when the motorcycle crossed over the center line and stuck another car around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Devereux was active in the Drug Education Center of East Lansing, the Gentle Strength Co-op and the Hunger Project of Tempe.  He was the son of Donald Devereux of Arizona and Patricia Hughes of Okemos.

Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday the Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel.

DONALD DEVEREUX

TEMPE, AZ

Age 23, died June 26, 1983 in Phoenix, AZ as the result of an accident.  Born May 13, 1960 in Chicago, IL, Donald was a graduate of Okemos High School and was student at Arizona State University.  He was very active in DEC of East Lansing, also Gentle Strength Co-Op and Hunger Project of Tempe, AZ.  Surviving are his mother, Patricia Hughes of Okemos; 1 sister, Kathryn Devereux of Okemos; grandfather, Edward Devereux of AZ; father, Donald Devereux of AZ and an aunt, Barbara Winters of Chicago.  Funeral services will be held Fri. at 11:30 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thurs. 2-3 and 7-9 p.m.
