Catherine Marie "Marie" Linn (Theusch) - Class Of 1935

Catherine Marie "Marie" Linn, daughter of Claude C. (1883-1953) and Kate (Emmer) (1891-1993) Linn, was born 15 September 1914, Shaftsburg, Shiawassee County, Michigan.  She graduated in 1935 from Okemos High School.   Marie wed Arthur G. Theusch 2 December 1944, Chanute Field, Champaign County, Illinois.

LANSING GIRL WEDS AIR CORPS PRIVATE

Miss Catherine Marie Linn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Linn, 2052 Hamilton road, Okemos, and Pvt. Arthur Theusch of the army air corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Theusch, Genesco, N.D., were united in marriage December 2, in a ceremony at Chanute Field, Ill., with an army chaplain officiating.

The bride wore a dress of aqua crepe with black accessories and a corsage of red roses and white carnations.  She was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Cecilia.  The bridegroom was attended by George Nogouskie, fireman first class, navy.

A reception was held at Champaign, Ill., after which the couple left for Chicago where they were entertained at a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Slabik.

Private Theusch returned to Chanute Field December 4 and is awaiting transfer to Miami, Fla.  The bride returned to Champaign, Ill.  She will join her husband later.

Arthur was employed by the Lansing Board of Water & Light for many years.  Marie and Arthur had 4 children.  Arthur, born 14 April 1918, North Dakota, died 2 June 1974, Lansing.  Marie died 12 July 1988.  They were interred East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, Ingham County.

CATHERINE M. (MARIE) THEUSCH

LANSING

Age 73, died Tuesday, July 12, 1988.  Born September 15, 1914 in Shaftsburg and was a resident of Lansing for most of her life.  She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and was a very active member of the Women's Group of the Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1974.  Surviving are 2 sons, Joseph of Laingsburg and Timothy of Lansing; 2 daughters, Miss Jacqueline of Lansing and Ms. Gwendolyn Fransted of Laingsburg; 7 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Claude (Kate) Linn of Okemos; 2 brothers, Richard Linn of Pewamo and LeRoy Linn of Lansing; 2 sisters, Mrs. Casey (Cecelia) Zydron of Chicago, IL and Miss Frances Linn of Okemos; and several nieces and nephews also survive.  Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 15, 1988 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection with Rev. Fr. William G. Hankerd as Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
