Margie Ann Cooper (King) - Class Of 1955

Margie Ann Cooper, daughter of Albert A. (1914-1971) and Joy Mardell (Robinson) (1916-1988) Cooper, was born 6 July 1937, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Margie graduated in 1955 from Okemos High School.  She married Jerry King, 29 September 1956.  Jerry and Margie celebrated 3 children and 44 years of marriage before Margie's death 19 April 2001, Ingham County, Michigan.

Margie was interred Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing.  Her tombstone was engraved; Proverbs 31:10-31.

MARGIE A. KING

LANSING

Age 63, went to be with her Lord Thursday, April 19, 2001.  Born July 6, 1937, Lansing, MI the daughter of Albert and Joy Cooper.  She graduated from Okemos High School in 1955.  On September 29, 1956 she married G.L. Jerry King.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry; 3 sons, and their families, Mark and Patricia King, their son, Jay and daughter Shannon of DeWitt; Greg and Trudy King, their son Zachary, and daughters Rachael and Kaitlyn of Grand Ledge; Aaron and Rhonda King, their daughter, Nichole and son Justin of DeWitt; brothers, Gary Cooper and wife, Lynn of Mecosta, MI, Allan Lee Cooper and wife, Sherri of Okemos, MI; sister, Sylvia Boiles and husband Ed of Sterling, MI; several nieces and nephews.  Margie was a homemaker and assistant to the President in the family housing business in DeWitt.  She loved fishing and cooking, but most of all she loved to take care of her family and cherished the family time when they would all gather together.  She enjoyed the holidays and loved beautiful flowers.  She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Delta Township.  Religious services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Leicester R. Langden at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, corner of W. St. Joseph and Canal Rd., with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
