Eric Matthew Saari class of 1995, son of Norman J. and Terry L. Saari, was born 30 January 1977, Concord, Jackson County, Michigan. He graduated in 1995 from Okemos High School and furthered his education at Michigan State University. In 2010 Eric wed Caroline Milligan.
Eric, age 37, succumbed to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, on 18 September 2014, Winchester, Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia.

Eric Matthew Saari, 37, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, after a long battle with ALS.
He was born in Concord, Michigan, the son of Norm and Terry Saari, in 1977. Eric graduated from Okemos High School in 1995, and went on to receive a BA degree in supply chain management from his beloved Michigan State University in 2000.
He was married to Caroline Milligan Saari, from Manassas, Virginia, on June 27, 2010. They shared a home in Winchester with their golden retriever Ellie, and two cats, Madison and Cleo. Eric was employed with Rubbermaid Commercial Products for seven years in the distribution department, and most recently as leader of Global Inventory. Eric was an avid golfer and runner and loved travelling, attending Corvette racing events, and enjoyed cheering for his Spartans.
He is survived by his parents, his devoted wife, Caroline, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his numerous friends.
Visitation is being held at Braddock Street United Methodist Church on Monday, September 22 from 4 – 6 p.m.
