I moved to Arizona in 1977. BA, Arizona State (1981), MA, Arizona State (1983), Ph.D. Michigan State (1988). I spent 15 years teaching and doing research in Interpersonal Communication at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). I am now a Professor at the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University.
