Cynthia “Cindy” J. Sundberg, age 73, passed away October 23, 2021 in Lansing, Michigan. Cynthia was born to Robert and Joyce Meacham on May 30, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Okemos High School in 1966 and would later receive her degree to become a dental hygienist from Lansing Community College, from then she worked in the field until she retired in 2008. In 1973, Cynthia married her late husband, Lee Sundberg, and spent a wonderful 32 years with him.
During her life, Cynthia found enjoyment in art, crossword puzzles, and her pets. She was also a devout in her faith and attended Hope Lutheran Church, where she befriended many and fostered her good will and charitable efforts. She will be remembered by her family and friends for the memories made at the family cottage on Lake Michigan, for the meals and laughs shared, and enjoyment had while traveling to places such as Florida, Alaska, Hawaii, and Japan.
Cynthia is survived by her two children; Nicholas (Erika) Sundberg and Jacob Sundberg; her grandchildren; Allie Sundberg and Weston Sundberg; her brother; Robert (Beth) Meacham Jr.; her sisters; Shelley (Jerry) Page and Lori Meacham; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Cynthia is preceded in death by husband Lee Sundberg and her parents Robert and Joyce Meacham.
A visitation for Cindy will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 1180 W. Herbison Road, DeWitt, MI 48820.
Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Cynthia’s name to the Capital Area Humane Society in Lansing, Michigan or ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
