Clayton Dean Furgala - Class Of 1959

Clayton Dean Furgala

Clayton Dean "Dean" Furgala, son of John (1895-1987) and Clestas Opal (Wooten) (1902-1969) Furgala, was born 7 March 1939 in Mason, Ingham County, Michigan.  He attended Okemos High School.  Dean died 2 May 1989 in Lansing.  He was interred East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos.  Dean's father, John, was born in Krasnick, Poland and was a US Army veteran of World War I.  The Furgala family was a large one, 16 known children, although several died in infancy.

FURGALA, DEAN

ST. JOHNS

Age 50, died May 2, 1989.  Born March 7, 1939 in Mason, Mr. Furgala had been employed with the State of Michigan and was a member of the Grove Bible Church.  Surviving are his wife, Judy A.; 3 brothers, Henry of DeWitt, Edwin of Okemos and Jack Furgala of Lansing; 8 sisters, Aralene Leeper of Lansing, May Bodo of Harrison, Delores Thomas of Owosso, Vivian Depeel of Lansing, Sharon Gonzalez of Texas, Shirley McKenzie of Barryton, Audrey O'Brien of Grand Rapids and Patricia Bryson of Morris.  Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. ath the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Robert Prange, Pastor of Grove Bible Church officiating.  Interment will be in East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. 

Dean did not graduate with our class, but we will always remember him.
