Ruth M. Huff, daughter of Herbert W. (1867-1922) and Lettie (Butler) (1873-1966) Huff, was born 20 February 1910 Michigan.  She graduated as Class President in 1928 from Okemos High School and went on to graduate in 1932 from Michigan State College.  Ruth married Gaylord M. Foote 2 August 1922, Imlay City, Lapeer County, Michigan.

OKEMOS GIRL WEDS LANSING RESIDENT

Of interest to many Lansing people is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Ruth Huff, daughter of Mrs. Lettie Huff of Okemos, and Gaylord Foote, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foote, southeast of Lansing, which took place August 2, at Imlay City.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fredrick Donovan, former pastor of the Okemos Baptist church.

Mrs. Foote graduated from Okemos high school in 1928 and Michigan state college in 1932.  Mr. Foote is a graduate of Lansing Eastern high school with the class of 1930.  Following a motor trip through northern Michigan Mr. and Mrs. Foote returned to make their home in Lansing at 507 Avon street.  Mr. Foote is an employe of the Lansing Dry Goods company.

Gaylord had a long career working as an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.  The couple had 5 children.  Gaylord, born 2 April 1912, died 19 May 1993 Arizona.  Ruth died 19 September 2002 East Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.  Gaylord and Ruth were interred Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lansing, Ingham County.
