Phyllis Ann Morrow Schray class of 1955, age 86 of Harrison went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
Phyllis was born the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Gladys Belle (Slider) Morrow on September 19, 1937 in Dearborn. She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Schray on May 16, 1987.
Phyllis was a graduate of Okemos High School. She was proud to have worked for General Motors; starting on the Assembly Line and retiring as a Supervisor.
Phyllis’ faith was very important to her; she loved to share her love of the Lord with all. She was a member of the Brown Corners United Brethren Church where she enjoyed being active in the Ladies Group. Phyllis loved to sing; in years past she had belonged to the Choir as well as taught Sunday School.
She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother that had a smile that could light up a room. Phyllis loved to cook and always made sure everyone was fed.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children Randy Stewart of Harrison, Cindy (Lorne) Skinner of Georgia, Patrick (Judy) Stewart of Charlotte, N.C. and Brenda (Mark) Bush of Ovid; her stepchildren Cindy Wilson of Mason and Pam (Rob) Schneiderman of Fenton; 8 grandchildren Christopher Stewart, Makel Bush, Maggie Gibbons, Hannah Stewart, Jessica Graves, Jeff Skinner, Kelly Wilson and Karlee Hale as well as 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Dwight, Johnny and Gary and a sister Sally.
Visitation and services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Brown Corners United Brethren Church. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service at noon with Pastor Jeremiah Ketchum officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Arrangements were handled by the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
