Class of 1975

Welcome to your Class Page!

This page belongs to your class and is your portal for connecting with your classmates, saving photos, planning your reunion and more! Before your classmates can begin posting shared photos, information, or planning events, your class needs an Editor to set up your class pages. Click through some other classes to get an idea of how others use their class pages. While this website is fairly intuitive, there are several of us who are happy to assist if you need some guidance.(Please note: individual classmates do not require an Editor to set-up their Profile, where they can post their own messages and photos.)

To volunteer as Editor, contact the Class Coordinator (initially, Rod Ellis @ okemosalumniassociation@gmail.com ) and create: Classmates links; Event links; Memoirs links.

The Class of 1975 is planning their 50th Reunion, September 19-21, 2025.

From Greg Premer:

Friday 9/19
Golf at Hawk Hollow, one the finest tracks in Central Michigan. Tee time mid morning. Right now it’s $95 per player. Please respond to email or Okemos HS Alumni site and let us know if you’re in for golf.

For the non-golfers there will be a tour of the old OHS, now a middle school. See all the places where we did things we should not have done
but got away with.

Friday night is a casual get together at the Mayfair Bar in Haslett (currently owned by Steve Wing’s son) starting at 6. Great burgers and bar food and we’re trying to reserve the upper deck for our crew.

Saturday 9/20
OHS 50th ReunionEagle Eye Country Club – Log Cabin Room. 6 – 11:00. Cash bar cocktail reception at 6 followed by Buffet Dinner featuring Bacon Wrapped Gouda Chicken, Thyme Short Ribs and Parmesan Crusted Salmon. Vegetarian options available. Full buffet includes veggies, starch, fresh baked focaccia bread and n/a beverages. Entertainment provided by Jim Batchelor of Diverse Sounds out of Grand
Rapids. Seasoned DJ /MC ( who is 62 and knows our tunes) will keep everything flowing.

There will be special surprise appearances during the weekend to help commemorate our milestone reunion.

Sunday 9/21
Sunday brunch at a place TBD.

Lodging:

Eagle Eye recommends the Hyatt Place East Lansing for lodging. They also recommend booking in the Eastwood Town Center area that
includes many options.

Payment and reservations:

We are asking everyone to reserve their spot at the reunion and prepay for the banquet. The cost is $100 per person which you can either use a Zell payment to (727)282-9028 or mail a check payable to Greg Premer at 3957 Moody Street – St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. I have already paid $800 in deposits and more are due soon.

Please also indicate if you will be playing golf or would like to tour the school.

Feel free to contact me with questions at the above number or email be at team1fla@earthlink.net. Also feel free to contact Brian Jay, Dave Stacks or Tom Rubendunst who are helping put this together.

Looking forward to seeing my Chieftan Brothers and Sisters in September!
