Patricia Ann Bartow (Wooster) - Class Of 1947

Patricia Ann Bartow, daughter of Clarence N. (1891-1964) and Annabelle (Rounsifer) (1894-1981) Bartow, was born about 1931, Ingham County, Michigan.  Patricia graduated in 1947 from Okemos High School.  She married Alden Frederick Wooster 16 July 1955, East Lansing, Ingham County.

PATRICIA ANN BARTOW WED SATURDAY TO FLORIDA MAN IN PEOPLES CHURCH

Wearing a white gown of silk shantung, Miss Patricia Ann Bartow was married to Alden Frederick Wooster in a Saturday afternoon service in Peoples church.

French illusion fashioned her fingertip veil which fell from a half-hat of rose point lace and she carried carnations, orange blossoms and stephanotis.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bartow of Mason.  Her husband, a former student at Oberlin college, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wooster of Winter Park, Fla.

Miss Geraldine Bartow of Okemos was her sister's maid of honor.  She wore a pale blue crystallite gown and carried pink carnations.

Ward Wooster of Sylvania, O., was best man for his brother.  Jack Wood of Wayne was usher.

After a reception in the church parlors, Mr. and Mrs. Wooster left for a wedding trip to northern Michigan, Wisconsin and Texas.

 

Alden's father was head of the Economic Department at Oberlin College from 1923-1952.  Alden, born 19 July 1918, was a World War II Army veteran. He died 15 July 1962 probably in Michigan, leaving Patricia with 3 small daughters.  In later years Patricia moved to Arizona and then in 2011 moved back to Michigan.  Patricia died 8 April 2013, Michigan.
