Ronald J. Hansen

Obituary courtesy of Gorsline Runcimen Funeral Homes DeWitt, Clinton County, Michigan.

Ronald Hansen passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020. Born December 27th, 1943 in Lansing, MI to Arnold and Armella Hansen. Graduated from Okemos High School, class of 1962. Ron is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Elaine; sons, Bill (Janice) Hansen, Rande (Suzanne) Hansen, James (Melonie) Hansen; daughter, Kelly Hansen; and his best friend & travel partner, Archie the Blue Heeler. He has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Jacob.

Ron spent many years helping his sons show cattle at the Clinton County Fair. He was always so proud of the many Grand and Reserve Champion beef steers that his boys exhibited, the pictures displayed on his living room walls.

After over 30 years of working for General Motors, Ron began his retirement. He sold off the cattle and soon after bought his beloved cabin in the U.P. where he spent time making many happy memories with his family.

Ron loved the Michigan State Spartans, the Detroit Redwings, gun & knife shows, the music of his youth, snowmobiling and any opportunity to crack a joke.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept 19th 2020 at James Couzens Park 13753 Main St, Bath Twp, MI 48808, 1 - 5 PM. Casual attire, please.

We were notified of Ron’s passing by his wife Elaine.  Our sincere sympathies to you and Ron’s entire family.
