Per Carol Hickling, Tom's older sister (email on 4-9-15):  I find it hard to write that my brother Tom passed away on 15 November 2011 at home in Jackson, MIchigan. 
He was 64 years old; complications from a couple years of being ill.

At our 50th we had a memorial table for those that had gone before us;
it was a lovely way to have them with us - the pictures, the stories, the memories.

Many wishes for a warm blending of classmates that have matured into fairly swell human 
beings who received their foundations at OHS!  

Thomas Richard "Tom" Hickling, son of Theodore "Ted" R. (1918-1983) and Norma Elizabeth (Hatherill) (1922-1996) Hickling, was born 16 March 1947 in Michigan.  He graduated Class of 1965 from Okemos High School.  Tom died 15 November 2011 in Michigan.  He was interred Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, DeWitt, Clinton County, Michigan with the inscription "Dona Nobis Pacem" on his tombstone; Grant Us Peace. Tom's parents were also laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
