Joseph Hutton Walbridge of Eaton Rapids

Age 71, died April 4, 1986.  He was born April 3, 1915 in Detroit, MI.  He received his B.S., B.A., and Master’s degrees from Michigan State University.  He was a chemistry teacher at Okemos High School for 25 years, and in retirement he was a volunteer with the Eaton Rapids Public Schools.  He was an active member of the Sartoma Club and Orpheus Club and a student, teacher, and camp counselor at the Leelanau Private Schools and Camp, and an active member of the Christian Science Church.  He is survived by his wife, Ruth; 1 daughter, Cynthia Walbridge of Idaho; 1 son, Peter and wife Pam Walbridge of Potterville; 2 granddaughters, Sarah and Elissa; and 1 sister, Jane Walbridge of Pennsylvania.  Private memorial services were held Friday, April 4, 1986 at the Ball-Dunn Chapel, Gorsline-Runciman Company, Mason.
