Dear Mrs. Mosher,
I'm sorry...I'm soooo sorry! I must have been your worst student and probably gave you nightmares. I did, however, make an effort to get a (passing) grade by joining Spanish Club and playing a hot, salsa trumpet duet with Dave Winters at the Spanish Club Banquet (too bad I didn't practice). And then the time you asked me to say something (anything!) in Spanish, I repeated a phrase I learned from a hispanic kid that I had bunked with at summer camp...to which you blushed and fanned yourself, repeating my words, "Mi Cortisone" (My Lover!). I'm soooooo sorry.
And our final interaction (the story told in my profile): Years after High School, my wife (Cassie) and I were traveling ..."Oh yes, and Mexico, where my one year in Mrs. Mosher's class went over real well with waiters and shopkeepers, leaving them (or was it my wife?) in tears as the Espanol rolled off my finely-educated tongue...actually, it was Bobbie Firnhaber that had whispered all the answers to me! Bobbie got me through, but Senora Mosher made me an offer I couldn't refuse. She gave me a "C" if I promised not to go on to Spanish II…I accepted her offer. Once again, I am soooo sorry...and late with an apology.
