Remembering Peggy...

SAN DIEGO -- Peggy Spanninga, 67, Pt. Loma, died peacefully at home August 11, 2013, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Champaign-Urbana, IL, she received her BA in Education from Michigan State University and taught elementary school in Michigan and Belgium. After earning a master's degree at SDSU, she worked in tax preparation at Harlan Lamp; Boettger, LLP.  Peggy was a longtime member of the Assistance League of Greater San Diego, North Coast Knitters and a contributor to many charities. Survived by husband, Don; sons Christopher (Caroline), Brooklyn, NY, and Paul, San Diego; sisters Sue Gray, Menlo Park, and JoAnn Tucker, Dolan Springs, AZ; brothers Robert (Masako) Gray, Mill Valley, Michael Gray and Chris Hendricks, San Diego. Donations in her memory may be made to any university scholarship fund or any hospice care organization.
